Rediscovering the Fenwick Archives

Letting In The Light

As is known by all, the Fenwick vault in which are kept the archives along with countless priceless and highly secretive documents pertaining to the University's history has been sealed since the time of its inception in the early aughts of the last century. However, in the wake of the supposed passing of Louis Light, Keeper of Secrets and Master of the Vault - who seems to have set sail out into the Atlantic in his personal schooner (inherited, apparently, from his maternal grandfather, the famed mariner Phlebas  "Barnacle" Fogg) never to return again - Immediate Past President (IPP) Joseph has seen fit to allow a small troupe of dedicated young researchers into the vault for the first time.

These young Fenwickians, led by senior class president and honorary "Scholar of the College" Christine Funkywive - coeditor-in-chief of the student-published periodical the Chesterton Assessment - include senior flautist Lotte del Silencio, senior sommelier Alexander Thursday, and the reticent sophomore Patrick Cordileone whom Light had mentioned as a potential future Keeper of Secrets before departing on his fateful voyage.

If, as IPP Joseph hopes, these students succeed in shining a light on the illustrious history of Fenwick University, then the From the Archives section of the website will continue to grow in the months and years ahead. If not, it will remain as barren as Sarah, hoping that one day a miracle son will appear to share the school's secrets, as numerous as the stars . . .
